Galaxy S3 Battery issues after water damage

So to make a long story short, my phone got wet in and out. It shut down and wouldn't boot anymore. I went online to read how to fix this and cleaned my phone with isopropyl alcohol.
I was lucky my phone booted up again. But I noticed that my phone couldn't read my simcard anymore. My SD-card was no problem. I want to use my S3 like an ipod now but the problem is that it doesn't rest for 1 hour without charging.
When I put it in the charger and use it the battery goes even lower. When I don't use my phone, the part of my simcard heats up. I went looking for the problem on the battery stats and more then half my battery goes to my phone's standy modus. I am rooted with cyanogenmod. How can i fix this?

Thanks for your help anyways :)

It sounds as if some impurity in the water caused a short that's draining the battery quickly. That can happen in a couple of seconds if the phone is on (or even has the battery in it and it's turned off) when it gets wet.
