Galaxy S3 reboot/logo issue

Hi,I know that many people have asked this sort of question already but I can't seem to find the exact same question as mine. I factory reset my s3 last night and it turned on perfectly,going onto the usual log in email and all that when on a new phone. I left it for a few minutes to do something but when I came back it was turned off and wouldn't turn on so I tried charging it. The battery logo did come up so I tried to turn the phone back on again but it wouldn't get past the flashing blue samsung sign. I tried this a couple of times but the results were the same. I left it and came back to it about 30mins later,unplugged it and tried to turn it on. The first "Samsung S3..." logo comes up then the android recovery mode logo but then it turns off and back comes the logo and android logo,repeating over and over again. Can someone please help me figure this out? I need an answer asap,sorry and thank you.

What model S3 and carrier do you have? Have you tried contacting Samsung to see if they can assist with a fix?

Welcome to Android Central! You may also want to try a new battery.

It's a GT-I9300 model and it was under 3 mobile but a few days ago my mam got it unlocked. Is there any way to fix this?

Hi,will getting a new battery fix the issue of it going into that cycle over and over again?

It might, but I can't be sure. Sometimes, if a battery is failing, it can't provide enough juice to complete the bootup process--but that wouldn't explain the recovery menu appearing. You don't even need a new battery--you could see if you could borrow a friend's S3 battery.
