I bought an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S3 in November of 2012 and have had it ever since.
A couple of points:
It has slowed down and I am buying multiple batteries, not sure of battery performance is just battery or the phone too
I have a cracked screen that I could replace for about $40 from
local fixers, who also replaced my faulty speaker piece for $39
I have toned down some of the lag by deleting and moving large files
otherwise it works fairly well
I have seen some of the newer Samsung Galaxies and am not too
impressed really. I prefer a phone about the size of the S3 plus
they seem to have some fairly trivial features (for me at least)
As I said before I bought it unlocked from Amazon and use
StraightTalk.
While I adore the removable batteries, it's hard to find good, authentic replacements
I could use a recommendation to move to a similar phone if you think it's not worth fixing,...
perhaps a popular carrier?
