Hey Gang,

Upgraded from EVO where I used DoubleTwist to sync and transfer Windows Media Player playlists over to phone, but for whatever reason the Samsung Galaxy S3 will not recognize my playlists.

I have tried using straight Sync with Media Player, USB and AirSync with Doubletwist and nothing. All of the songs transfer and are on my SD card, but it doesn't matter the player, Mixzing, Doubletwist, Stock Samsung Music player, it won't show any playlist songs and if it does it will only show a few that are in the playlist.

Seriously driving me crazy. I have tried updating my playlists in media player, tried doing them one at a time, tried repeating the sync, nothing does the trick.

Is this an issue with the Galaxy or Media Player or both?

Any help is mega appreciated.

Thanks.

I just got my phone, put my memory card in and it read everything. I also synced with double twist but from an epic 4g (keyboard version). use synced it all about 2-3 weeks ago though so maybe I used a newer version of double twist then you? Mine reads on the stock player no problem

just did a lil more research. Playlists weren't showing in double twist for me either only stock player. Downloaded air sync and synced to my playlist. Took a couple minutes and all was well and back. If you don't add new music you could do this and opt for the refund...if you do use this often air sync works well (have heard it crashes with 100's of songs and takes multiple attempts but not the case with mine....)

The best way I found to solve this problem is to create a folder in your music folder with the name of your playlist/s with the music you want in each folder. I made a shortcut of MY FILES (found in your APPS list) to home screen (or wherever you want) and I just play the music from there. If you click on on song in a folder, it will automatically play the songs in that folder. It will play thru your music player. Problem solved!!! Hope this helps!! :)

I'm having the same problem and I'm storing all my music on an SD Card. I can see that creating folders and moving the music into those folders by category can be accessed via the FOLDERS icon across the top in the Music Player program, and I may be doing this as a workaround, but I want my Playlists to stay put. It's very frustrating to go through all that trouble to pick out the songs and have them constantly disappear. I've seen quite a few people discussing having this problem in various forums, but no one seems to have found a solution. :'(

There's a big difference between folders and playlists; with playlists, you only need one copy of a song, even if it is on multiple playlists; with folders, you must have multiple copies, one for each folder.
