Galaxy s4 air browse

I have a galaxy s4 and most of the air gestures and motions work fine but I thought the air browse was supposed to work to change music tracks and pause, play, etc. I'm just wondering if that's only programmed to work on the default music player because that's what I'm guessing, I use poweramp music player, not the default player. Thanks in advance.
