Just got my GS4 this past weekend, so still checking out the lay of the land. I came across something odd while using the camera yesterday. Keep in mind that I have only taken 3-4 pictures so far and not employed any modes or filters other than the standard ones. I am not using any third party app such as IG either. That being said, I tried to take a couple of pics and they showed up like an extreme close up of Robin Thicke's Beetlejuice outfit. Translation: black and white stripes. The small preview thumbnails at the bottom showed what the picture SHOULD look like, but the picture itself was just stripes. I ended up taking a few more, luckily my dog cooperated, and they came out fine. I am curious if this has happened to anyone else and/or has a possible cause? FYI. I have the camera set to save the pics to a brand new 16g sd card.

Yes, I am hoping it was just a fluke. It did it on two pics in a row, but the ones after that have been fine. I am just glad it wasn't a "once in a lifetime" shot. I take so many pics of my dog that one or two missed shots is not a huge deal.
Yes, I love it so far and looking forward to upgrading my GT2 tablet for a GT3 in a few weeks. Always happy with Samsung products.

How do I stop this keyboard lag??? I have to use Swype or it lags and then catches up with nothing but jargon. I don't like the Swype keyboard
samsung s4 phone when i opened it, it's touch screen sound was working nice but after some time i just push the home key and swipe the screen so the there was no sound then i tried to ring my phone from another phone the call was connected but no sound all sound from notification area is full and loud after restart the phone it's starts working again please help

Sorry to hear your keyboard lags, I've never had that problem and I use the stock kb every day.
Have you checked the Google keyboard? It's great!

folks i know this is a bug forum...have any one of you upgraded to S4 to kitkat 4.4.2 ...any key features you see. It's a pretty big update but the changes are minimal...

I haven't, and don't know anyone that has. Although there are a few forum members that rooted their phones to Slim kat 4.4.2.

Yes VikBee.... I upgraded my ATT S4 last week to 4.4.2. There were some subtle changes that I noticed.... Nothing big.... UNTIL.... I tried using the Yahoo email app to open emails. I can see my folders via Yahoo app, but when I try opening an email, Yahoo mail closes and it forces me to read the email only with the stock email format/program. Gmail app is acting fine. I notified Yahoo mail for it but haven't heard anything.

2 things that really irritate me.
1) When you are in the address book app you used to be able to long press a contact and "share contact via message" that has bee removed in the update
2) When your in the dialer keypad and a number is recognized in a quick contact, there is no way to pull up the full contact from the keypad screen... WTF

Updated my S4 to official KitKat yesterday and there's an odd lockscreen bug. Whenever I unlock my phone, be it the normal swipe unlock or a password unlock, my home screen wallpaper would flash and fade out for a split second and then take me to the screen where I was last when I locked my phone. I've found that this glitch disappears when I play music (through the stock music player or Google Play Music) and my lockscreen music toggles show up. It's odd and annyoing... :-\ Anyone else suffering from this?
I'm having a problem with the dialpad. I can make a call, but once the call connects the dialpad doesn't work anymore. I can't respond to anything that has a menu, like retrieving voicemail or any kind of csr menu. Does anyone have a solution?
i updated my SGS4 to android 4.4.2. Since then I have seen one particular problem with the device's font. When I apply the custom stock font and open the play store the app name is shown in the custom font however the name of the developer and the installation permissions when chosen to install are in the default font.

my phone is a samsug galxy s4 active and i have had it for two months after last update now my phone freezes 20 seconds after i turn it on. and stays that way until i take out battery and put back in turns on fine just the freezing whe the togle notification turns up. what can i do
All of my apps are crashing. For example, I'll click facebook and it'll say facebook crashed. I click okay and then click facebook and it works as normal. It sometimes crashes a few minutes into use. Any ideas?
Mega problems with the kitkat 4.4.2 update.
Phone wouldn't receive calls. talked to some people who said the solution was to do a back up and reset on the phone. Several sites including samsung said this wouldn't affect the contacts or the SIM card. They were wrong. don't do this.
