looks like this doesnt work anymore. Gallery doesnt work at all.. keeps force closing or not showing any of the pictures smh..this is crap.. my wife is ready to return the phone

I just had the lag issue happen again. I had to clear the cache and data again. Looks like it is a bug that is going to keep happening from time to time. Hopefully Samsung squishes this bug in the first OTA update.

I have noticed that when it happens the Gallery app is using about 200MB of RAM and the CPU usage spikes pretty high, even though I only have about 7 pictures, and 1 video.

Edit: This bug was fixed with a OTA update today.

BUG 1 - the S-VIEW screen pops up on keeping the phone with a thump on a padded surface. (NO RESOLUTION YET)

BUG 2 - the phone reboots on clicking on the camera icon. It doesnt happen always but has happened a couple of times since yesterday. Also the camera app takes too long to open up sometimes.

OBSERVATION: While connected to the carphone - the bluetooth just disconnected (never happened even once with my other phone...i had to turn bluetooth off and then to get it back. i'll keep a watch of this issue and post if reappears

Question - how to turn off the KEYPAD sounds without muting the phone?
Question - does the camera aperture not work like iphone camera - i.e point at a dark spot and the frame brightens up? (though i like all the options of the GS4 camera - i am missing my iphone camera which was dependable and quick!! ) - hope these are teething issues and samsung will fix
question -is it possible to turn the developer option off?

PS - just got my 32gig sandisk 10 card...

I have discoverd a bug with the stock calendar app.

I use "Buisness Calendar Free" as my calendar app, and whenever i set a new event through that app without a notification, The stock app automatically adds it to the calendar with a 15 min prior notification.

In buisness calendar it say no notification and in the stock app it says no notification and then when 15 minutes prior comes around it automatically adds the notification. quite annoying...

This only happend if i don't set an alarm.
If i set the alarm the default app reads it fine.

Wow don't i feel dumb.

This was actually a google calendar issues.

Seems my default notification settings through google somehow got changed.
Removed them and it seems to be working properly now.

Upside down videos when uploading to Facebook.

Video playback shows fine on the phone. Sometimes appears upside down when uploading. This is Landscape (horizontal/widescreen) mode.

Only remedy - hold phone so that the speaker / Samsung logo is on your left. If holding opposite way, although the video appears normal on the phone, it will upload upside-down. At least on my new S4.

even my photos appear upside down when uploading to websites & message boards

I am having the same problem and I do exactly the same procedure in order to get it back..... Any ideas any one ??????

Anyone notice a weird "thump" sound when you are calling someone? The weird sound comes after each ring.

BUG 2
The multi window selection TAB that floats around the edge of the home screen seems to suddenly disapear when the Multi Window is still turned on. THe only way to get it back is to turn Mutli WIndow off then back on.

I am having the same problem and I do exactly the same procedure in order to get it back..... Any ideas any one ??????

How about holding the back button like on S3? Doesn't work??

I have had my s4 for a week + and here are my issues so far:

1: I am having a hard time getting the phone to act like my s3 did when docked in my car. I cant seem to get the screen to stay awake. It also seems to notice no difference between car dock and desk dock.

2: The gallery is slow and crashes or goes into the select multi image mode too easily (ie. when just using my finger to scrolling through the different folders I have. I do have alot of photos in my gallery)

3: I have had the data roaming notification warning pop up several times even after I told it to roam and not to warn me.

4: The ir blaster is weak.

If I have Smart Stay on the screen will NOT turn off. I tested it this morning by leaving the phone on the dinner table and thirty minutes later without me walking within ten feet of the phone it was still on. I disabled Smart Stay and it shut it off after 60 seconds.

I have noticed when I try to send a picture or upload a pic to Google+ etc, that the pic looks like it's trying to send/upload and it won't send/upload. I would need to restart my phone and resend. It's done this a few times even while on wifi.

Pressing the back button for 2 secs turns on and off the multi panel. This is not s bug but s useful feature. I was responding to a comment above. Obviously missed to quote.

That's the magnet inside the ipad cover aligning with the magnet Sview sensor on the back of the S4, when this happens the phone goes into the Sview mode. The Sview case has a magnet in that location.

The problems I have experienced are lag, stuttering, glitches when using the phone. A reddish hue when viewing deep blacks. Stock keyboard has issues.

Today my s4 rebooted itself twice I guess it can't handle. Light web browsing like going to engadget.com just for a minute than it rebooted itself wtf Samsung my HTC one is doing better.
