[GALAXY S4] BUG THREAD!! Found a bug?

I just had the lag issue happen again. I had to clear the cache and data again. Looks like it is a bug that is going to keep happening from time to time. Hopefully Samsung squishes this bug in the first OTA update.

I have noticed that when it happens the Gallery app is using about 200MB of RAM and the CPU usage spikes pretty high, even though I only have about 7 pictures, and 1 video.

Edit: This bug was fixed with a OTA update today.

damn it....still havent got the update smh

I receive a weird static randomly ...like a rusty scratch.

Me too! When the phone is not doing anything on the table it has this scratching sound! At first I thought was the vibrator gone crazy but listening closely it doesn't sound like it's from the vibrator. Anyone else have this issue? It sounds like a scratchy buzzing noise.

I'm having the same gallery not opening problem, and I've formatted my MicroSD card and reloaded my pictures, and still same thing, a black screen and eventually after opening and closing it works. I was going to wipe my phone this morning to see if it was something I've loaded, but decided to search the forums first and found a bunch of us with this problem. Glad I didn't waste my time reloading everthing.
only fix to the gallery at the moment is to unmount the sdcard then mount it back...smh....shouldnt have to be like that

Hi,

I am new to android have been using ios since 1.0, I luv my new s4 but I am facing some issues with whatsapp, whenever I send pictures to my contacts it saves that same picture in whatsapp picture folder the same number of time I have send.

I have to then delete each picture again n again. Is this common with android or am I missing something, all the help will be great full.

Thanks :-)

Bluetooth Share Bug
I am getting the error: Unfortunately, bluetooth share has stopped : when I am using any of my bluetooth devices that work with media (headphones). I can pair fine, and it will connect for a minute or so, then I get the error and the bluetooth service stops. I need to turn off and on both the bt device and service on the phone. Any ideas? I have tried the log and service clearing, as well factory resetting the phone. I exchanged the phone last night, and now I am having the same problems.

Issues happens when I am using Double Twist, BeyondPod or the preinstalled Music app.

Tapping the screen does nothing during video playback and the bottom menu remains on the screen. Any help?

I took video:

Another issue I noted is that when when you are on call and during that time wifi drops or if 3G drops the call drops too... I am yet to test this issue but I am definitely having call drops at certain places where data network is weak ( not mobile network)

Damn - after typing on the swipe key even the I pad keyboard on landscape mode feels tough :)

Hey everyone, I need your help or opinion. I'm in Australia and have the GS4 on the Virgin network. 3 bugs I've noticed so far, wondering if anyone else has as well.

1. Air gestures doesn't work.
2. Air view doesn't work.
3. Push email doesn't work. (played around with multiple settings)
4. When I am playing the music player through my car stereo (Aux connection) have hissing static sound. (Have tried other phones/new cable).

I am going to restore the factory settings and reset the phone and see if that helps, wondering if anyone else is having similar problems? or do I just have a bad one and should replace?

Help would be really appreciated

Anyone having issues when you are trying to send a pic through Group me/Google+ or regular messaging? Every other day it takes forever trying to send my picture and then it stops, what i need to do is log off the app and or turn off my phone and resend. FRUSTRATING

My phone is EXTREMELY lethargic about switching from Wifi to the cellular network. Sometimes the Wifi disconnects randomly, but it doesn't pick up the network and I miss notifications. It kind of concerns me. I got the OTA update, and while it fixed the other lag issues, I still have some lag before I can enter my code in the lock screen. (I have to keep the lock screen secured otherwise the Wifi at work won't allow me to connect.)

I got the update and the gallery problem went away and it soon came back.. Although this phone is awesome it has many hidden issues right now.. Not a good look Samsung. I took my wife's phone back to Sprint today and got it replaced. Gallery working for the moment. I hope when I get the Note 3 these type of problems are not present. They better have a 32 and 64 models only forget this 16 gb models,

To turn the KEYPAD sound go to settings...my device....sound and scroll down to the keypad settings and take the check mark out.
To turn the DEVELOPER off ...go to settings.... more....developer....and once opened on the top there is a switch for ON/OFF.
As far as the Bug 1 and Bug 2 I tried replicating it with out any luck. If it is a bother for you, exchange the phone for one that doesn't do the same.

with whatsapp, whenever I send pictures to my contacts it saves that same picture in whatsapp picture folder the same number of time I have send.
This is not a problem with the phone, it is a problem with whatsapp and the reason I am telling you is because I had the same problem since a while back when I had my S3, so I contacted whatsapp about it and they told me it was intended to be that way but they were working on changing it... nothing yet.

so on two separate occasions now, my phone has shut off and an image of a gray battery with a white loading circle shows up. Both times, this is happened when my phone is plugged into a car charger. The car charger is a generic plug with a USB port and I am using the charging cable that came included with the Galaxy S4. In both situations my battery charge we well above 50%. Both times I had push the button to turn off my phone screen and about five minutes later when I go to look at my phone again I click the Start button and my screen doesn't go on. Then after a few seconds that gray battery shows up and I have to do a long press to turn on my phone. I'm not sure if it is related to it being plugged into the car but I thought I'd include that because it's the common denominator.

People can't hear anything I say in calls - my microphone doesn't work. However when I go onto speaker mode they can hear me perfect. I can record voice memos and S Voice works fine. What would be the cause of this problem? I have upgraded firmware and done a hard reset. Is my phone faulty or is there a simple fix to this?

Gallery problem has offically been solved...just go to the play store and get another Gallery..sucks this has to be the fix..but it looks like something wrong with the samsung Gallery App.

I got a replacement phone for my wife yesterday got the update..and gallery crashed today...

Hope this helps
