[GALAXY S4] BUG THREAD!! Found a bug?

so on two separate occasions now, my phone has shut off and an image of a gray battery with a white loading circle shows up. Both times, this is happened when my phone is plugged into a car charger. The car charger is a generic plug with a USB port and I am using the charging cable that came included with the Galaxy S4. In both situations my battery charge we well above 50%. Both times I had push the button to turn off my phone screen and about five minutes later when I go to look at my phone again I click the Start button and my screen doesn't go on. Then after a few seconds that gray battery shows up and I have to do a long press to turn on my phone. I'm not sure if it is related to it being plugged into the car but I thought I'd include that because it's the common denominator.

Sounds like your phone is turning off while charging for some reason. Could be your third party charger. It may not have the correct output voltage for the phone or may be faulty in some other way.

Those of you have the Gallery crashing.....are you all using the
SD card for picture storage? If this is the case, have yiou
formatted the SD card on this phone after first intalling it?

you shouldnt have to do that. the phone should be able to read your pics on the SD card. since i downloaded another gallery app; it hasnt crashed at all

I tried this. It worked for just for a while. Go to Settings > More tab > Manage Applications > All > Gallery. Then Clear Data and Clear Cache.

I also downloaded a third party Gallery, but the problem is the camera uses the default Gallery all the time. We still need a fix.

It's a bit of a bug, but more of question.
Here's the situation. I've bought the Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 (which means it supports LTE - specifically in my case 1800Mhz).
I've subscribed to an LTE package with my carrier, but it just doesn't show up on the phone itself. I check network settings and there is no option for 'LTE only' or Auto CDMA/LTE/GSM.

I did pop in an AT&T Sim Card which I happened to have and the LTE option did show up in the menu. Does anyone have any suggestions/hacks or tweaks to work around this. It's really bugging me since I opted for an LTE model instead of the Octa-Core 3G.

I got a voicemail icon on the notification bar at the top of the screen that wouldn't go away. I cleared it manually, no luck. Called my voicemail and I have no vm, no saved vm.

Try this. It worked for me. Go to Settings > More tab > My Applications > All > Gallery. Then Clear Data and Clear Cache. Make sure to remove your micro SD first before doing this. Got this resolution from YUKI in other forum. Hope this helps.

I think until samsung fix the problem the 3rd party app may be the way to go.. clearing the Cache will bring the problem back after a while..

My smartstay doesn't work either . Have you solved the problem yet ?

Disabled smart stay..then downloaded smartstay ex off the play store. It works fine now. Might be a smartstay/ camera thing. Anyway it works now. I already got the new update. I'll wait till the next update and see if it solves this issue. Battery got a little hot last night and today,even with both smart Stays off... Changed some animation scales etc...this phone is awsome...especially coming from a nexus s 4g...love the phone...lightning fast.

Hello; Just got the S4 and noticed that there is no Push option for the stock email service - max is 5 mins, which will drain the battery and not really work.
- I tried setting my Hotmail/Outlook account as Exchange and it does offer the PUSH but... when you send an email the receiver sees your username for example if your email is testsamsung@hotmail.com they will see testsamsung as the send name. There is no option to set it as First Name.

- Second, I downloaded the Outlook app on Android - just installed it on S4 and there is no option to set the sender name. When an email is sent the receiver sees the full email address as the sender testsamsung@hotmail.com. I would like to set only my First Name. Would you please be able to help me set this as well?

I tired a bunch of different apps, K-9, etc... none of which work smooth - the Outlook and stock email app work great but no sender name option. Please help.

I think I havce discovered 2 bugs

BUG 1
I have discovered a bluetooth issue specific to this phone when trying to listen to media
I have a motorcycle bluetooth headset see here ( Review: (Aldi) Bauhn Bluetooth Stereo Helmet Headset )

This headset works perfectly on my old HTC Incredible and Motorola Rzr.

However is only works effectively with phone calls on the Galaxy S4. When I try to playt music through it the audio keeps cutting in and out very rapidly to the point you cant even tell what song is playing. I took the headset over my mates house and works perfectly on his Galaxy S3.

It seems to be a problem specific to bluetooth "headsets" as I tried my phone on his bluetooth NFC speakers and it worked flawlessly.

S3 specs say Bluetooth version is 4.0 high speed
S4 specs say Bluetooth version is BT 4.0 LE (A2DP / AVRCP)

I'm not sure if this is a copmpatability issue or a bug on the S4.

The headset itself says it is Bluetooth 2.0 campatible. I would assume that BT 4.0 would be backward compatible? Any ideas?

BUG 2
The multi window selection TAB that floats around the edge of the home screen seems to suddenly disapear when the Multi Window is still turned on. THe only way to get it back is to turn Mutli WIndow off then back on.

Vanilla lockscreen notifications don't work!!!
If you have *any* kind of PIN/Password/Pattern on the phone, you can only get the pathetic 3 sec scroll of a message at the top. I've verified with other S4 users too. Huge bug to me as I may leave my phone at my desk for a while at work. Haven't found much more searching web other than it appears to be a problem with Samsung software.

Now for a more annoying problem. The default browser announces "Start of page loading" and "Page loaded". It just started on its own. I've been through every setting and can't find where anything is turned on. All accessibility. TalkBack, etc. is off. Any ideas? Please?

Dojt get me wront I like the standard camera..when I want to view the pics ill just go to the third party app gallery. An extra step but I don't get the headache with the stock gallery

Try this, Go to "Setting" - "My Device" - "Display" - un-check "Auto Adjust Screen Tone." That will prevent the flickers of the colors. If that doesn't help, guess you should exchange it. Your money; your standards for a perfect or somewhat close to it. =)

So from what I read here so far there are no major bugs like the copy/paste bug that some of the previous samsung tablets and phones experienced?

Just curious because Im planning to pick up an S4 as soon as vzw has them available.
