How do you delete the app data. I my s voice is doing this same thing. I open the application and it won't even let me speak I touch the button and it says straight away. i'm sorry I didn't hear that. please say it again. whenever I press the button it just repeats this. this is the first time I opened the application. so annoyed. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Thanks for tge suggestion, but talk back is off. This only happens with the native browser. Im using chrome instead.

Really? I've got the same phone as you but in the UK and it's sim free not one carrier modification made and the default gallery app works just fine for me, never freezes. I know on my friend's S3 she is having a problem when she ever opens up the gallery app as it keeps freezing.

Not sure if anyone has already mentioned this one as I attempted to read through the entire thread but just scanned it.

Sometimes its like the capacitive button registers a hold button and not just a press.

For example, multi window - I keep mine switched on but I hide the tab with a long back press - occasionally when I have tapped the back (capacitive) button it registers as a long hold and phone lags out I cant do anything (only for a brief moment) and the multi window side bar / tab appears.

Hey Guys - i've posted here in the past. So i'll summarize some of the issues i have faced and some that got fixed. I've had my galaxy for about a month - its international version, dual quad.

Some things that bug me
1. my dialer is Black and i've seen images of a white dialer (stock) - just cant get it on this version. I dont prefer white over back but would like the option to play with stock dialer
2. the auto brightness is a tad too dark for me. I dont see auto brightness to be as responsive even if i set the level of auto brightness right
3. Gallery app restarts the phone - a few weeks back the gallery app would like once in 5 chances just cause the phone to start and then it suddenly stopped. it happened again yesterday after a few weeks when i was going to the gallery app from whatsapp...not sure what stopped/reduced this. I am glad its not as buggy anymore
4. on roaming...my battery didn't last more than 6 -7 hours tops. Sans roaming i am getting at least 15 hours of consistent battery life.
5. Bluetooth - the connection with my car audio/phone will just not stay. I started seeing this issue after putting the sview cover. havent tried to take it off and check but re-pairing the devices didn't help.
6. today and for the first time ive been experiencing - inordinate number of call drops - just shows there is no network when i call. dont know why this suddenly cropped up
7. unable to use the lock screen widgets with PIN lock is really frustrating.
8. the eye scroll and smart stay, smart pause- i've never got them to work perfectly... the one i would like to use most often is smart stay...hate to touch the screen or not let the phone go to sleep...it works 50-50.

some tips tricks
1. holding the return key will activate or deactivate the multi panel
2. enable quick view and use gestures to see notifications if PIN lock bothers you. this is not a solution but a lame workaround
3. turn off the svoice for faster home screen operation.
4. if you want to move faster between touchwiz screens - press the scrolling pane (where you see a little home icon - press for a 2 secs till you see a numeric 1 pop up...its real fast and i use it

overall a good phone...cant wait for Key lime pie or JB 4.3.3

Mine is a weird sound that follows any notification sound - it's like a 4-8 second loop of a static/cricket type sound - it seems to follow any notification, like an incoming text (text sound, wait two beats, static/crickets) or each time I take a picture (picture sound, wait two beats, static/crickets)

Mine does the exact same thing. I just got mine last Thursday and the Camera has already "failed" a couple times and the very first day I got the phone it shut off on me and wouldn't turn back on for 10-15 mins. Theres just a couple other small lag issues that is annoying me so far. I really like the phone but I want it to work nice and smooth like it should. I've always had an android except my last phone which was an iphone 4s (worked great the entire time but was quite boring), I love to be able to personalize everything and do what I want, which is why I wanted to come back to droid but if this keeps up Im gonna have to go back to an iPhone ......trying to be patient though

Since this thread is about bugs, I may have one to report and hope someone knows a work around.
I have the S4 now for 2 wweks. I tried to save a contact that is on the phone to my SIM card. i was unable to. I get a message "cannot save contact to SIM"
I got on the chat line with Samsung support and the person could not help me either.
All I am trying to do is to select a specific contact or few contacts and export or copy it/them to my SIM card.
Any suggestions?

On the issue of screen flickering when keyboard is up, and display is exposed to sunlight, I've made a small video of the issue as it appears on my phone.

Check around 00:22 where i flip the keyboard on/off, notice how the screen begins to flicker, like a pc monitor out of sync

Hi Everyone,
I am sort of new to the Galaxy S line and I am shocked that there is 7 pages for a bug thread. Is this common for the S product line is it due to the touchwiz/Samsung applications that are included to the phone? I reported on a thread that when adding message alerts under the Contacts that the alerts don't sound. Instead the default Samsung message/notifications alerts do sound. Customized Ringtone in other hands do actually sounds..

Another bug to report on is the screen timeout automatically changing to 2 seconds even though I set it at 15 seconds.. This is annoying as hell as I keep changing it to 15 and the device to auto change it to 2seconds

Yes, mine was installed at the AT&T store .....it is driving me CRAZY! The gallery freezes and I can't even turn phone off for 5 mins! Everything freezes up when I try scrolling through pics!

You ever heard of an app called Screeble Pro? It will accomplish what smart stay wishes it could do, and it will actually SAVE battery instead of using extra.. Instead of watching your eyes, you can set the angle of the phone where it switches from no timeout to timeout. So if your holding the phone, the screen stays on. If you set phone down, it turns off. Must have app, as far as I'm concerned. Been using it for years on every phone I have owned.

CloudAgent has stopped
every time opened Gallery,camera or Dropbox
the phone becomes vey sloooow and heavy.

2- Samsung Watchon,

HELP!The S4 gallery is impossible! It freezes the WHOLE PHONE every time! I'm not alone, I see...there seems to be 1000s others too

My S4 has been fine except for 2 occasions where when trying to connect to public wifi (in a hospital) the phone froze then rebooted, its been flawless otherwise

So i bought a samsung galaxy s4 last week, and so far i was really impressed by it. but today when i
woke up i saw that it was almost dead.
So i thought that i forgot to put it in the charger, but i didnt. it was connected correctly but it wasent charging.
So i put the charger out-and then in again but now it only vibrates every 10 seconds then it shuts itself down.
It shows a picture of the battery and like buffer logo (you know like those on youtube) in a circle inside the battery, but not the usual green at the bottom when the battery is charging,
I dont know whats wrong? so i put the charger in it vibrates the gray picture of the battery shows up, then it fades away?? i dont understand last night it was charging and working prefectly.
So i just wont charge, so whats the problem. PLEASE HELP it costed me alot of money and it would be sad if it broke now...what should i do??? help
