[GALAXY S4] BUG THREAD!! Found a bug?

I hope I am not posting something that has already been posted. In the camera using the voice commands the "take video" command does not work. It did when I first tried it. The commands for taking pictures work fine, saying take video should launch the camera but it isn't working.

One other thing I can answer an incoming call using air gesture, although it takes a couple tries, but I can't decline a call. Not sure why. Minor things really, but I find it annoying that I can't get them to work.

my phone reboots two to three times a day for no reason, its brand new, i cant wipe the cache partition, and i have already did a soft reset, hard reset, and i have not downloaded any apps for a while and it still does it. someone please help because i cant get to the sprint store because of work and i cant afford a replacement or nothing

Does Samsung have a record of fixing any of the bugs reported? Or does everyone put up with the bugs?

ya they fix them....not all..but definitely some...they are pretty active on the forums and see threads like this

I don't know if this is a bug or not but I have two VZW S4's that disconnect from WiFi when they go into sleep mode. WiFi is setup to stay on during sleep so they shouldn't be doing this.

Had no issues with my S4 for the first couple weeks. Then once I started using Spotify, my lock screen would start glitching out every once in a while. Everything would flicker and spazz out, or the "pause/play, next track, etc" buttons wouldn't be at the top of the screen anymore and they would overlap with the pattern unlock part. Just today, my screen flickered like crazy (a few minutes after I stopped using Spotify) and rebooted all on its own. What the heck is going on...

can someone tell me how to check when the latest OTA update was applied to S4? Date when any firmware/OS update was made to S4...thanks

My 64Gb SD card seems to unmount when I start up the phone. I've tried 2 different SD Cards (Sandisk and Samsung) and even swapped my S4 for a new one but still the memory card unmounts and I have to manually remount it to get access to my music/photos.

samsung has been sneaky...i remember trying desperately to get whatsapp on multi-panel when i got the phone and the only solution was root. I havent updated the firmware upgrade available today (size - 360 mb)...but spotted FB and whats app both on my multipanel...i am pretty sure i didn't do a thing...and i am not complaining. i would like if there is a way to know when and what updates samsung is pushing

Here's an actual bug (and a solution!)

Problem: Story Album App crashes after you select photos. Also, apparently related, is you do not see the date in the notification shade or lockscreen.

Solution: Go into Settings->More->Date and Time. Change the date format to something other than what you have/want. Change it back to what you want. Presto! The date now will correctly show up in the notification shade and lockscreen, and the Story Album app will no longer crash and you can create albums all you want.

I need some help with a video taken with my S4 while on vacation. I took the video in a panorama mode; however, the file inexplicably saved and plays back as a portrait video....so the whole thing is sideways! This was a video of my daughter playing in the sand at the beach for the first time and I would hate to be stuck with it like this. Is there any way to fix it? And, more importantly, WHY did the S4 do this? All other videos and pics (over 800 during the trip) came out just fine.

When I make a phone call (very rarely), and need to bring up the "keyboard" to get through the menu, systems "don't recognize" what I'm trying to input! I try over and over again.... can't even hit "0" to get to the operator! Anybody else having this problem? What's the answer?

Not sure if it's a bug or what, but my app "restart connections" does not work on the Galaxy S4! It just flashes for a second with no effect. I tried reinstalling, looking online, at user feedback, etc... no clues as to why, or if anybody else is having the same problem. Google Play store says it is compatible, yet my connections do not restart when the app is launched.

I try to speak to GOOGLE now to "remind me" of things when I get home or get to work and it actually creates the reminder but it never reminds me when I get there.

GPS is on and all. Only thing I can figure is I am on WiFi at home and at work and there may be a bug that won't allow the reminder to trigger after it is logged on to WiFi.

Not sure, some others find this a issue?

I updated the sofware yesterday with the hope it will resolve these issues I have the phone for a month now. I'd hate to have to take the phone in for repairs because who knows how long it's going to take to get it back. I need a quik fix...anyone??

All of those work for me when I have them activated. Maybe make sure you are doing them right. The other way to take a screen shot is power+home button at the same time. Sounds like a user error to me.

Speed Dial

I set up my speed dial settings, and they work fine for i dont know how long.
Then I will go to use one of them, and they'll be GONE, cleared.

Then I have to set up my speed dial setting short cuts again.
this has happened more than once and its frustrating.

I searched this thread and found no speed dial bugs, but this is CLEARLY a huge bug.
Please advise.
