Galaxy s4 lag issue?

Wait is this a S4 lag thread or a HTC One vs. S4 thread?

/lost.

Yes sorry. I was completing my post above this one where I mentioned the lag and how I am done discussing it...

Yes but with 32 GB HTC One, I could make it since I used the 16GB Nexus 4 for several months.
My Droid 1 from 2009 had 48 gigs of storage. 32 gigs has not been sufficient for a long time IMO. Even Apple thinks so...that is why you can buy 64 gig iPhones now.

Some users do not need to carry every last digital file they have on there phone,so most can justify only needing what is offered what would you do if Samsung or others scrap the SD card slot stop buying phones

There will never be enough available storage.. People aren't happy in life. They want the biggest, the best, a manufacturer could offer 128 tomorrow and in 6 months it's not enough. We live in a society that feels entitled to wasting resources and being disposable.

If they are ok with the limitations, more power to em. Not everyone needs a car for the same reason.

So why do you need a smartphone ate all? Your feature phone will make calls and let you check email too. All those feature phones collecting dust while wasteful people go out and buy smartphones.

Because in most cases a smartphone as become a status symbol in most of the offices here in America. Much like a car is but a smartphone is much more affordable. Anyone to say otherwise would be lying to you.

But it also is a good thing. It creates a healthy market of different devices for us. Point and case the whole S4 Vs HTC One argument.

....edited all my writing about lag simply because it kinda went away when I modified the app Green Power to not "Manage wifi". Go figure.

Lag is nonexistent with CM10.1 on my S4. Of course, there are a few random hot reboots now and then but still, better than TouchWiz!

Hum, yep that sounds like a solution but I really didn't want to downgrade to CM.. Oh well...I'll live w/the lag for now. :)

Start with Maps. Zoom in and out with pinch. See if it looks like this (3:40)
Google Nexus 4 vs. Samsung Galaxy S4 - YouTube

Okay,
I tried Maps first before watching the video you posted and didn't think I had any lag.
Then I watched the video and tried maps again. Yes, I get just a slight hesitation, but so slight I probably wouldn't of noticed.
Even knowing it's there, I know it isn't enough for me to cry out like some have in these forums.
Played around with typing some test emails, and didn't notice any lag at all.
I do believe some might have a more intolerable lag, but so far I have nothing to be even the slightest concern.

I would like some more suggestions of things to test so I can post my results also with those.

Mine is the Verizon Galaxy S4 unboxed today.

My thoughts exactly. It is the kind of thing I never would have noticed if I did not own a nexus phone. Having owned a Nexus, I can't ignore in anymore, heh heh.

I got similar results playing with the store model.

I bought into the whole pure clean Google experience thing and got myself a nexus4 a few weeks back. And really in my opinion the performance difference between the two was really insignificant. To me the pure Google experience is great. But slightly overrated.

Yeah but only thing apple does right is now they do have 128gb ipad 4 and iphone5 don't mean I'd buy one would like to see android get larger storage or at least make what they have available but I know they do its the carriers, but also agree that human nature is to want more including me

sent from my favorite phone of the year HTC one, don't mean it has to be yours
