I have a Galaxy S4 SCH-i545 (Android 5.0.1) with an extremely weak wifi connection. I have ruled out these possible problems:
1) Router is fine. My wife has the same model S4 and it works fine. Other devices work fine.
2) Factory reset the phone multiple times. Both with and without restoring previous apps. No change.
3) Pulled up antenna spring clip contact to ensure contact with back bezel. No change.
Does the actual wifi antenna reside in the back bezel? Could replacing the entire bezel be a viable solution?
Any other advice is appreciated.
