Galaxy S5: How's everyone's battery life so far?

Yeah that is pretty awesome, what was your total screen time?

Around 5 hours and I plugged it at 20% I will have to experiment some more because I see people getting awesome results! Like Erasat

Is mobile data off all day?

Samsung Galaxy S5 (Verizon)

My mobile data is never off, but I'm on a stable WiFi when I'm home and school, except for when I make runs to the store or something

I'm a little confused as to what you mean? I made one 12 minute call to tmobile to complain about the problem. It shouldn't be using it all day.

I went to tmobile after work and was told I was supposed to let it die at least twice after full charge to kick start the battery in to known just how long it actually has. My battery lasted about 10 hours today without a single use of video and music or streaming. Looking at other screen shots I can't help but feel like mine is under performing

I mean how long do you have WiFi calling on? If you have poor cell service and no WiFi connection, the phone's radios are going to use up the battery fairly quickly. Most other screenshots show either a good connection or a WiFi connection

Awesome to those getting that great on screen time. For some reason android Os and Android system are at 30% and 19% while my screen time is in 3rd place with 10% used.

Anyone know what's going on? Or have a fix? I can never get more than 3 hours of screen time and it's always using less batter than android os and android system .

I have Google location reporting on I'm not sure if turning that off will disable google now or what?

I was having serious battery drain from the android system and mostly from Google+. Also noticed I could not save any
Apps to my SD card. Remembered a thread from my S3 days about serious drains caused by a faulty SD card.
I turned off Google+ and that helped a lot. Backed up and reformatted the SD card and battery life has been tremendous!
And, I can now save some of my apps to the SD card. Not sure if this will help anyone else! Hope it does!

One thing that helped me is to turn Google Now OFF and turn Location (from the notification toggles) OFF
I only turn on Location when I am using my GPS

A reboot usually fixes that when I get Android system wakelocks. Also turn off location services if you're not using them

Is it good for my battery to have screen on automatic lighting or is it better to fix it myself? Because I've noticed it really does a great job of recognizing the best light which I've never noticed on my other smartphones!

Auto brightness is better than leaving it on full brightness but it would always be better on battery to set it lower always. I use automatic brightness as I prefer that myself.

I don't use Auto Brightness, I usually leave my phone at 50% brightness, its still very bright in daylight and night

Re: How's everyone's battery life so far?

My battery is great if I can stay away from CandyCrush Saga! I unplugged my phone at 6 am this morning and only facebook, texted and talked, and surfed the web and I still have 58%...... if I play Candy Crush.... after about 6 hours, I need to plug it in =(

I downloaded Battery Doctor and battery life has increased dramatically. I highly recommend it.
