Galaxy S5: How's everyone's battery life so far?

I'm getting great battery life. Currently I'm at 10% left and my screen on time is 6 hours and 10 minutes. That's with Bluetooth on all day syncing with my Gear 2, location services turned on and screen brightness at 50%. Last time I got 5 hours and 20 minutes of screen on time. I think it's the battery adjusting. I'm happy with it that's for sure.

Standby time in this phone is amazing...I don't even have to charge for tomorrow and it would still last me the day

Does everyone turn off mobile data? It appears this phone leaves it on at all times even when WiFi is on yet no one posting these amazing battery stats shows mobile data on.

I again had to charge mid day with 3 hours of display time with only Gmail syncing. WiFi on but left mobile data on even though it wasn't used.

It seems like every time I wake up in the morning, the phone loses 20% to 40% overnight. This is horrbile. I charge it at least twice a day.

Usually if the mobile data symbol stays on when on wifi it is due to some type of caller ID app. Once that is off / disabled it will make the mobile data icon go away.

Either way it shouldn't be touching the mobile data part till you get a call.

I did some screen shots on the 23rd but didn't get to post them

Battery on mine is great.

This includes watching a 20 minute video at lunch. I even updated 9 apps today. On 4G LTE all day. Never on Wi-Fi (have it at work, but don't use it). T-Mobile. I unplugged the phone in the morning and didn't charge it again until that night.

Re: How's everyone's battery life so far?

My battery is great if I can stay away from CandyCrush Saga! I unplugged my phone at 6 am this morning and only facebook, texted and talked, and surfed the web and I still have 58%...... if I play Candy Crush.... after about 6 hours, I need to plug it in =(
Understood. I had to start completely over when I got my S5. But it's easier the second time around. But I'm getting to the point in CCS that I have to wait to play so that helps. I may buy something later to support the developers as I like to do that, but from what I understand they were making over $600,000 a day... so I'm just playing and waiting and playing... I blame a coworker because I didn't know about this game until she told me!

I had to be at work at 3 AM, so as soon as I entered the building, I turned on the ultra power saving mode. At 1400, my phone has only 10% battery left. It was in my pocket the whole time and did not even use it. I thought I would have 70-80% of battery left...Is there something wrong with my battery?

My mobile data is left on at all times, I never turn it off
When you are on Wifi, mobile data should not be used unless you are receiving an MMS or it has to be temporarily used for some reason

ONe of the only reasons I love Sprint, you don't need data for MMS so I can shut of data completely when on WiFi!

Definitely not normal, and much less in Ultra Power Saving Mode, just look for the Battery Stats, it will tell you what is eating up your battery.

I ask because my mobile data shows at all times. No caller ID application (minus Current Caller ID so I can see names) but it never showed on the Note 3. Uninstalling doesn't fix it either. I disabled Called Name ID by Verizon.

You can shut off data because you can also send MMS over WiFi. Every carrier does that, not just Sprint.

Do you have a wifi calling enabled phone? This is the only way MMS can be done via wifi is if you use a wifi calling type of feature...

Either that or a 3rd party app and not the actual carrier.

No. And how you gonna tell me that when I just sent an mms over wifi lol....? Like I said, Sprint has wifi enabled mms since the S4.
