Galaxy S5: Lock screen media player - how to disable?

I have the same problem or very similar:

the time on my lock screen has been replaced by a track length, above 3 buttons: an 'x', stop and pause, but I dont have 8tracks installed.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

This seems to have worked for me. Go to settings / sound and notification / application notifications (at the very bottom). then go to each music application and select it, then set Block on for it, to block all notifications for it. I can't guarantee it yet, as I've just done this myself, and the phone is occasionally erratic in how it takes on new configurations, but it seems to work so far. No music controls on the lock screen!!

Just love how ppl blame the software for what is usually user error.

I installed I-Heart-Radio on my new Edge and it started playing random music on my lock screen by no choice of mine.
Get over yourself.
