Galaxy S5 loses 4GLTE and needs to restart to reactivate 4GLTE

To be more concise, the phone forgets 4GLTE continually, drops to 3G and needs restart to turn 4GLTE back on. Just bought this phone on Ebay new. I had the phone looked at in a local Verizon store and was given a new sim card. Adjusted the mobile network settings to LTE/CDMA as preferred. Initially this setting seemed to help, but no. I did a factory reset and still no luck. Any tips regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated.
