Galaxy S5 VS Note 3 VS HTC One M8

Re: HTC One M8 VS Note 3 VS Galaxy S5

For Lebron or Shaq, maybe...

I have very average size hands, no one would ever mistake them for being anywhere close in size to theirs. Yet I am able to effectively use the M8 one-handed, with small shifts in the way I'm holding it to reach extremes.

Also, this is in the context of comparing a Note 3 to an M8. Relative to the Note 3, it is easy to one-hand the M8. I own both, so I think I'm qualified to speak on the matter.

If you like your S5 so much, why are you spending so much time over here in the M8 forum? It makes one question your motives.

I wonder if it's a possibility that just the stock launcher was laggy and not the phone itself

Also notice, theres once had lunch in a mix residential / light industrial area. Notice 90% of the blue collar are on samsung (mainly note 3 and s4 in white).

Was carrying a s4 at the time. Felt kinda weird. As I'm the only guy in suit with s4.
Whilen noticing most students and PMET (professionals, manager, executive, teacher) are on iPhone.

Yes, TW is infamous for being a laggy UI. Both the Note 3 and S5 have beastly internals, so I would not accuse the phone itself as being laggy. Whether or not you want to call it "ugly" is just a matter of personal taste.
It's funny that the same things were being said about Sense just a couple of years ago, before HTC overhauled it. TW is long overdue for the same type of overhaul and optimization.

Yep, after m8, I figure out Samsung ROM was the disappointing one. Despite having superior spec. Everything feels like a crawl compared to iPhone.

Downloading custom launcher, custom ROM doesn't help. The lag will always be there. After all, those are not default out of box.

What's so ugly about Samsung's UI?

Sent from thr Note 3...and yeah, its spectacular.

It's just a matter of personal preference. Some people will call it cartoony, stuck in the Gingerbread era, and not cohesive, among other things. Others will prefer the colorful "pop" that TW has, which takes advantage of the perceived strengths of AMOLED displays. To each their own.

Sense 6 is more refined and smooth than Samsung' UI in my opinion. I like the simplicity of the new design. Blinkfeed is even more useful than ever

Looking to see what everyone's feedback is in regards to reception on these 3 - I am ready to ditch my Note 3 as the reception is terrible, I will give up the S-Pen and size if I can get a better antenna. My fear is the antenna issue is a Samsung issue - although my Note 2 was pretty good.

I hate to sound like a Samsung fanboy but I don't know who would get the HTC One.
For starters it's way too tall given the screen size, and in inches it's close to the Galaxy Note 3's size despite having a much smaller screen.
Secondly while the speakers are advertised like crazy I just don't see the appeal of them. I always use earbuds listening to music/youtube, and personally I think it would be pretty obnoxious not using earbuds if you want to blast music in public.
Thirdly the build quality seems to lose more than it's worth (Especially in the case of the M8). I hear the phone is slippery as hell, and the curved edges prevent you from getting a good grip, additionally most phone users these days keep their phones in cases which would ruin this phones appeal. Finally you also lose wireless charging, and removable batteries.

Overall I just don't see the hype that HTC's phones have been receiving and since sales have been pretty abysmal I must not be the only one.....

Aaaaand I got a G Flex because I didn't want to use a case and it's more abuse resistant than most of the big screens. It almost sticks to my hand and there's a pile of one handed operation tweaks.

I don't know why you have terrible reception with your Note 3 because my reception is great on mine. What carrier do you have? I have AT&T and my reception is great wherever I travel.
