Galaxy S5 won't charge with usb 3.0 cable, but will with regular micro USB cable?

Galaxy S5 won't charge with usb 3.0 cable, but will with regular micro USB cable.

Just bought this phone on eBay, and i know nothing else other than that this problem occurs. I am not sure how the chargers are different, but doesn't power transfer through the micro-usb 2.0 port anyways and the other section is only for data transfer. If that is true then I believe it could be a cable issue.

Welcome to Android Central! I think you're right, it's probably a problem with the cable. Can you try a different one? Bring it to your carrier store or a Samsung Store at Best Buy, and ask them if you can try charging it with one of their USB 3.0 cables.
