What do YOU guys think of the S5's back?

This isn't a thread about the overall design of the S5 (which IMO, hasn't changed very much) but more so about the textured back.

Personally, I think it's a step up from the cheap feeling, glossy plastic present in the S4 and S3. Feels so much better in your hands. Those who used the 2012 Nexus 7 will probably get what I mean. Still a step down from the pleather back used in the Note 3, though.

what is it made of? is it any kind of plastic or just like the one on the note 3?

I like the back on the note 3.

Re: Galaxy S5's textured back. Yay or neigh?

A lot of the previews are saying it feels really nice and "premium" though...guess I'll have to wait and see

Re: Galaxy S5's textured back. Yay or neigh?

Reminds me of the back of my Nexus 7 (2012) and i really like the feel/look of that.

Re: Galaxy S5's textured back. Yay or neigh?

My only complaint about the Nexus 2012 back is that it's a finger print magnet. But it does make the device feel nice. Too bad it's always in a case so...

Re: Galaxy S5's textured back. Yay or neigh?

I've never used a case on any of my phones. Don't want the added bulk.

Re: Galaxy S5's textured back. Yay or neigh?

You mean Samsung galaxy S4s?

IMO it's huge disappointment. I mean i thought they would have learnt by now that such flagship phones should also feel premium in looks and in feel in hand apart from loading with zillions of features.
Look at HTC one they look so premium. Thats by far the best looking phone IMO.

Neigh say I....maybe in reality it would serve function over form but from the photos it is off putting.

Re: Galaxy S5's textured back. Yay or neigh?

If it has the same feel as the 2012 Nexus 7, then I'm on board. I love the grip and texture of that backing.

Re: Galaxy S5's textured back. Yay or neigh?

Yay from me. I want to see in person though. The Black and the White look nice.

I"m fine with the back mainly because it's soft-touch plastic. The black model but I think the stitch would of been better for the other colors at least.

Another question;

What do you guys think of the joke that the S5's back resembles a band-aid?

I like the back. Better than glossy plastic for sure

Re: Galaxy S5's textured back. Yay or neigh?

I like it. Some colors, not so much as others, but the nexus 7esque back looks much better than the fingerprint magnet glossy plastic, at least to me anyway.

I think it looks nice. Much better than the cheap and greasy s4. I'm hoping it feels like the note 3.
