I'm not saying that BGR is the go-to for tech journalism, but I thought the review was favorable. Even if it wasn't I'd rather hear the truth about the product than a glowing review for a piece of crap. Example, I wouldn't read a review from sammobile lol.

He's the best, the fact he hasn't even commented on the M9 or S6 yet gives him further credibility. No reviews until he knows he's reviewing the same units we will get

Yeah Marques Brown is a good reviewer I always enjoy his reviews. He is detailed and explains things well

The BGR review of the is actually quite glowing and well reasoned. No reason to assume any untoward bias.

The only serious misstep IMO is that he used the word 'lag' to refer to animations he thought were slow such as the app drawer opening which are clearly not lag in the sense that the phone is struggling to keep up, but just a design choice that won't please more impatient users. Using that term muddied the water and he should have known better. Other than that it was a good review, and very favorable indeed.

The BGR review was pretty fair and lacked the vitriol that I would have expected.

basically any review that doesn't say the s6 is perfect means:

a) they're pro apple
b) they must fudge their numbers (due to pro apple)
c) they don't know what they're talking about. the 10 brief minutes you got to try one at a store clearly shows that you know more than they do

I wouldn't be surprised if I saw "Sent from my iPhone 6" at the bottom of every article they post. Even though they are saying positive things about the phone they still have to bash Samsung in the very beginning.

I feel the same way about BGR. Its almost like all they do is glorify everything Apple does and try to nitpick everything from google / android. I refuse to go to that site its all apple propaganda.

This is the truth, a reviewer says one wrong thing about a device you're into and they're accused of being biased or apple fanboys.

Here's an idea, stick to the android websites then.

+1000 for both MKBHD and Mike Fisher. Best video reviews IMO.

BGR article also made mentions of their dislike of device design choices in past Galaxy S iterations but was impressed with the GS6. When you are generally a big fan of a particular ecosystem and have to admit that you have positive things to say when his expectations were not high, you have to expect a dig or two which weren't that bad.

It's the same with sports teams, someone says anything slightly critical of the team and they're biased against them.

It also speaks volumes when he admits that there aspects he was impressed with.

I only trust android authority and Mike Fisher from Pocketnow. I dont trust such Sites like forbes, verge, BGR

Mike is good, I like him too. Jaime Rivera on the other hand is useless, gives awful reviews.
