Did you go into Pro Mode and adjust the "Macro" setting or any other settings? At least I think that is what / where it is. Or was this in Auto Mode? Thanks.

Took these with a gs6 (not edge) in an AT&T store and sent them to my phone using Bluetooth.

Yes, I paired my phone with a carrier demo unit. Shame on me.

Lol. I did the same thing last night to compare the quality of my Galaxy Alpha Camera with the S6 as a possible upgrade.
Shot AT&T Store with S6 then with Alpha then Wifi'd to Alpha to view both on Alpha screen .
Alpha lost the showdown.
Want to see how much upgrade quality will be.
Outdoors in Sunlight Alpha is about 10% less quality and detail if I stabilize it .
Indoors way more noise .
S6 has very low noise !
And excellent Detail.

That's a pretty amazing digital zoom for a cell phone camera...very impressive.

Not sure what I did when I was taking pictures. But i think I pressed and held the button.
Next thing I know is I had a Video. Came out good too.
