Galaxy s6 edge has a grey/black flashing screen and is completely unresponsive

So I think my s6 edge has died. all I have is a black screen and when i touch the buttons the screen turns grey - kind of like an old tv with no reception, then goes black again.
Is this a virus or have i dropped it without realising?
If anyone knows a way to salvage this it would be great!
