Hey,

I am new to this site but I have always checked here when I need help figuring out an issue. I can't seem to find anyone else with the same problem so I figured I would post one. I have had my galaxy s6 edge for a few months and I love it. Just recently, though, I have been experiencing some issues. My phone gets very hot and a notification pops us that says "Closing apps to cool down", all of my unnecessary apps close and then my home-screen image changes to the default. This has happened about 3 times and I am wondering if it may be a defect in my phone. Ever since this issue started my battery life has been terrible it only lasts about 6-7 hours. I wipe cache pretty much every week and I am on Verizon. Hope someone can help. Thanks.

My first thought was to wipe the cache, but as you've already done that I would recommend just bringing it to verizon for a warranty fix/replacement. Based on some other threads, with the phone overheating you are also vulnerable to a screen cracking. Get it fixed before they blame you for that too.

Sounds like you have a faulty phone. Mine doesn't do this...yes it gets warm on occasion, but I haven't had nearly the issues you're describing. I suggest contacting your carrier and/or Samsung to get a replacement for your phone. Otherwise, you may be risking a safety/fire hazard. Also, if you live in an area where the weather is hot, then I suggest not leaving it in the car, assuming that's even a factor.
