Do you guys think anything can happen to the colour of the phone due to exposure to the sun throughout normal usage ? For example fading or developing any problems on the finish ? Slightly worried . Also when looked at a certain light I can see a rainbow coloured effect , is this normal ? Thanks

I live in Arizona 113 + and its working fine extreme heat with no color or fading issues.

That is the cool think about the color sometimes it looks chrome, some times it shines a light gold.

100% happy with the color!

I live in Las Vegas, extremely hot here too. I've also had no issues with Color fading. The color is actually under the glass, I believe.

When looking at the device, at different angles, it is supposed to look different colors. I think, that is a "feature" myself! LOL!

No it won't fade. The black would fade(won't though) before the gold or white. But mentioned above , color is underneath.

How long do you keep your phone exposed to the sun? Do you wear your phone on a holster and work outside or something?

I live in Atlanta which isn't quite as hot as those other places.

I like to think the shiny color reflects more heat. Though wonder if the glass creates a greenhouse effect.

If your that worried, you may want to consider an entire device protector through Zagg...covering it all should work

When looking at the phone at an angle especially the gold parts can you see a rainbow of colours ?? I compared it with another one at my local phone store and it had the same effect.

At first, when I saw the gold S6 edge in the stores, I almost didn't get it. I didn't care for it, under the lights of the store, I think that the lights in the store kinda distorted the color of the phone.

I went ahead and ordered the phone anyway, I figured I had 14 days to decide if I really liked it or not. I am so glad that i did that, because, I love the way the gold looks, now that it's not under the lights of the store.
