Hi guys, I can't seem to sort my apps that I have downloaded to "Alphabetical order" in my S6. I just cannot find this feature. Now it has just the "Edit" function on the top right hand corner. On S5 & Note Edge It has a 3 dot icon on the top right hand corner & if you press that it will show all the functions like "Sort by." Thank you & looking forward to all your replies.
Cheers mate.

Did you tap on the "A-Z" near the top right? That should reorganize the apps in alphabets order

Sent from my Pearly White Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

A-Z is only in the US carrier versions and is not available in the international version. My guess is that the US is primarily English speaking whereas the multiple languages that use the international version may not understand what A-Z means.

No wonder mine is an international version. IMHO the S6 is one step forward & five steps backward. Cheers mate!

Mine is in UK English, i changed to American English it still does not show any a-z option. Bad move android

Yeah same issue here (UK) if you install a different launcher it gives you the option to change them, or do what I did and manually move them into alphabetical order. Frustrating but didn't take long.

I like being able to order my apps on the homescreens manually since I organize them in alphabetical order by those most frequently used and then apps like Games, Clock and Pictures.

Unfortunately the only solution for non US S6's is to download a third party application that would allow you to re order the applications (if that even exists) or a different launcher.

Just found this one myself thanks to your hint about the dots! Tap the 3 dots in the upper right. Tap "view as" in the drop down. Viola la! Tap alpha.

Very interesting... I wonder how many people "do not" use the app drawer at all. I do not. All of the apps I use are in folders on my home screen. With a 5X5 grid selected, you can have 25 folders on one home screen with hundreds of apps inside!

"International version may not understand what A-Z means"
It's pretty simple, you sort the apps according to their names. Sorting for other character sets was a problem that was addressed in the 1980s I believe. No excuse for it not to be there now.
Why is there no A-Z sort in the UK?

I have no idea why it would have been left out. It's such a small thing, but a daft thing to leave out. At least when we receive the 5.1.1 update it will bring back this feature.

I just found it on Samsung note 3 purchased sum free phone but using proximus (belgium). Click into your apps drawer then click on tray button.... now select view as..... then select alphabetical order.

I hope this helps someone else.

This does not help there is ONLY an edit option on the top right hand side of the screen. I think they left out the link for this, when there was a problem showing the data icon in the drop down quick panel 2 months ago.

Hopefully the new update will bring this back.

Thank you for the reminder! I did this about a year ago when I had to replace my S5 and now once again (after dropping it a few inches off the ground) I had to replace it again! I'm all set-up thanks to you!
