On my galaxy s4 I have over 2000 photos and videos taking up 2.59gb. On my new galaxy s6 I have less than 70 photos and videos and in my settings it says it's taking up 2.58gb... how is that possible?! And if it's wrong (which it must be) how do I fix it???

2.58gb for 70 photos works out to be approx 36mb per photo which is unusually high. Photos should be around 5-6mb each. Check your gallery folder and make sure you only have the 70 photos and no more. Check other parts of your storage to make sure you don't have photos stored in other folders on the phone too.

Otherwise you may be taking images in RAW format which could be the reason for such large photos. Make sure your images are being taken in jpg and not RAW format.

That sounds right of you have several videos recorded in addition to pictures. (Do you know what quality you have set for videos?)

2.59 compared to 2.58?

He said 2.59GB for 2000 photos/videos on his S4. 2.58GB for 70 photos/videos on his S6.

That is a huge discrepancy. But he did mention videos. So I'm believing it's the videos.

Check the settings. The S6 takes pics at a much higher resolution than the S4. Especially videos

Higher resolution on the GS6. Also it's kind of hard to compare without knowing how much video you have (duration) on each device and what quality settings you had for photos and videos on each.
