Galaxy S6 : Post Pictures Of Your Home Screen(s)

I have a general question for whomever this may apply to ...

I see a lot of home screens with very little on the screen. Usually some kind of widget up top with time, date, weather, etc. ... and sometimes also a custom widget for battery life, etc. Then, there's nothing but a blank screen where you can see a very pretty background image, and then the icons in the dock.

I have tried a few times to use that "setup" for myself, but always find that I get annoyed by not having commonly used apps out on the home page. I use my phone hard, and hate having "extra clicks" to get to an app I use a lot. So, in the end, I always end up back with a few rows of apps above the dock, then a widget or two up top (I use a 5x7 grid size via Nova Prime).

So, I guess what I want to know from those with really "clean" home pages is ... do you find it annoying at times to have to go find your apps to use? Or do you really just enjoy the clean home page so much that it overcomes any annoyances of the "extra clicks"?

i have 3 pages on my dock with infinite swipe/scroll which has all of my most used apps (6 on each page). for everything else, there is the app drawer!

May be a stupid question, but how did you get the icons on right hand side? Are they icons or a widget of some sort?

For the time being I've switched back from my Rotox setup to Belle icons, I love both looks but this one's really doing it for me, for now:

If you were asking me, that's from the Zedge app, it's called Rainbow Metal. Here's a link, but the in-app version provides much higher resolution:

I love this thread so much. Shows what android really is. Everybody has personalised their home screens to their own liking. Expresses who they are.

I love putting stock wallpapers. It takes me a while to get bored of them.

A simple Brilliant Quotations widget, customised to my liking, Google search bar with my most used apps.

The second screen as a news and weather widget and Google now for Google cards.

That's it.

I love android and everything we can do with it.

This is how I have mine set up.

Stock launcher, stock theme. No multiple pages with icons, no clock/weather widget. Not too many downloaded apps. Just a couple of icons and folders. Exactly how I like it. Oh and the Gmail and Maps app are in the Multimedia folder, I know that doesn't makes sense, but at least I know where to find it
