Hello fellow android users, I'm new here, hoping to get some help on my new phone.

Ever since I got it, I've been hearing an audio crackling sound when playing music or videos (any app). It happens on both the speaker AND using the 3.5mm headphone jack, therefore I don't think it's a hardware issue so it could be an issue with the internal DAC / AMP. Rebooting the device fixes it for about 12-24 hours but then it occurs again. Volume level does not seem to matter.

Does anyone have any suggestions or experienced this before? Let me know if I should provide more information. Thanks!

Hm. That's a tough one.

You said that you don't think it's hardware since it happens with the speaker and headphone jack. It could still be a hardware issue upstream of those components, like something with the DAC.

But you also said rebooting helps temporarily, so that does sound like a software issue. And you said it happens in any app. The only think I can think to do is a pretty big inconvenience. Factory reset the phone and see if that fixes it. I'm guessing it won't. If not, I'd return it to the store and get a replacement. You spent $700, you deserve a phone that works.
