I have a brand new s7 phone and i realised battery life was low.

Today my wife unplugged my phone for a few hours and left it there idling. 6 hours later im at less then 60 % wtf.

I have 2 android app draining my battery. Audioserver and android system.

Im guessing the android system is normal at 12 %

But audioserver is at 25 %. What could vause that. And what does that app do ?
How can i fix this ?

Saw some posts on another forum that dealt with "mediaserver" so not sure it's the same issue, but sounded like it was associated with Chrome browser. Folks disabled / uninstalled Chrome on their phones and used the stock Samsung browser, and saw battery life improve. If you're going to try that, make sure to Force Stop Chrome before uninstalling. Good luck!

In the past I also had a huge battery drain with he mediaserver process running in the background which was attributed to a corruped mp3 file (downloaded custom ringer). I got rid of that mp3 file and rebooted and all was well.
