AC Question

Randomly when I was using my phone my screen went straight black. If i clicked the home button it would flash on for about 1/4 of a second then go straight black.

If I started my phone the screen would stay on till the operating system would start.

I booted it up into that special mode and formatted it because the screen worked perfect if I was not inside the OS.

When the Operating system finally restored it self, the screen went black again.

Contacted samsung they said I probably have a faulty phone.

Sent in the phone.

Me Expressing anger through the keyboard "ASGBHAOSUGBA AGNIOSAGA #HT*@#T*(@#HFG JNIO"

Does anyone have any idea of what I could do?? This does not seem right to me. I was sitting the couch texting when the phone went black. Yes I have dropped it one time the day I got it so there was a small ding on the corner but nothing major or very noticeable. I have had the phone for about a month though.

Something could have been damaged when you dropped it.

If you have insurance then you could go through that.

The one time I dont get insurance. I had insurance the whole time on my galaxy s5 for 3 years, Ive chucked that thing down the road out of anger one time. Phone never let me down! Which gave me confidence the s7 would be even more durable......I guess not......

Any suggestions? I don't think a phone should break off a 2 feet fall onto the ground a month later..... I miss the old smart phone days where I could replace phone screens my self. I wish they could do a payment plan on that much money.

I understand your frustration with Samsung and their "warranty service." My s7 edge got water damaged when my daughter spilled a galss of water on the end table my phone was sitting on. I didn't think too much of it. Wiped the phone off and continued watching tv. When the show was over I went to use the phone and there was a small line in the middle of the screen (directly above where the bottom of the camera module is on the back). The phone had never been dropped or damaged. In a case from first days. Called Samsung, they said send it in. Tonight I get an email it's on its way back to me--resolution is listed as BER (Beyond Economical Repair). Not sure where that leaves me. But they are not standing behind the phone.

This is exactly what happened to my phone.
My phone turned black when I received a text. The backlight with the time would show, but when I press the home button the screen will go black again. It would come in sometimes then again it would go black . At the time the screen would come on I ended up resetting my phone. It started working again but it would glitch when I try to playback a video or look at my pics.

I am so faustrated because this never happened to any of my phones before, and I noticed that we are not alone with this issue.
