Hi so my mom has a s7 and it was working fine and then after not being used for a couple minutes when she went to use it again it was a black screen and not turning on. I have tried looking for a solution online, I tried

Volume up + home + power button

Volume down + power button

Just power button

None of these work, holding them down for over 10-20 seconds nothing. Phone was still charged when this happend and when I connect cable charger nothing comes up on screen, when I use wireless charger the led on charger goes red but still nothing on screen. When I connect it to a pc nothing, doesnt recognize phone being connected. But when I call it, it rings normal as if the phone is on, it doesnt go straight to voicemail. Also when checking in samsung cloud it doesnt look like there was a backup done recently so is there anyway to get data off the phone without it being on? Please let me know of anything I can try, thanks for any help

Try holding the power button for 30 seconds

Just tried that nothing happening also tried that and the other combinations while it was plugged in, nothing. but also didn't show battery on the screen. just put it on the wireless charger again and the led on charger turns to red but nothing on screen.

I will retry those again after letting it charge, maybe wait to see if it eventually charges to full. If this doesn't work does that mean that it might be a hardware problem?
Yeah definitely let it charge for few hours , its very possible a hardware issue.

The phone has been charging this whole time until nothing. The led on the charger is still red. Tried all the button combinations for 30 seconds and nothing. Anything else I can try?

I dont think we can do more , best to send in for repair but dont know if it's worth it to you

Theres no need to have it fixed as I already loved the sim card over to another s7 we had. But the problem is, is there anyway to move the data over from the dead s7? I checked the cloud and the last backup was 2018 so would really like to somehow move data over. Can it be done? Or would it require taking phone apart? Thanks for the help.

This is tricky with a screen that doesn't respond, only thing I can think of is go to this website and sign in with your Samsung account that's on the phone and tap back up my data

Your welcome!

Plug a charger into it. It's possible the wireless charger is not working.
