Galaxy s8+ and Android Auto (app crash & phone reboot)

I've been having connectivity issues with AA vers 4.5.592854 since it was released last month. When connected to AA in my Chevy truck, AA randomly crashes and causes my phone to reboot. In fact, it gets stuck in a boot loop where it reboots up to 6-7 times in a row before stabilizing. Verizon pushed software updates with security patches last month, and again earlier today. This condition has persisted with both software versions. I've also ensured that all my apps are updated in the Play Store. Is anyone else having a similar problem?
