galaxy s8+ deleting contacts after I put them in

After I enter information like their name, it just deletes them after a couple of hours

Welcome to Android Central! Are you entering the contact into your Google Contacts account, your Samsung account, or the local Phone account?

One thing you might want to check is which setting you have on the contacts app: settings-> contacts to display.

ie. Might be saving to sim card but only showing phone contacts.
