Galaxy S8 Plus Sim issue

Hello,
Yesterday I began having a weird issue on my S8+, What is going on is just at random I loose all mobile connection (Wifi is not impacted), at the top my phone has a white circle with a line through it where the signal bar is, then after a few seconds it goes back to 4g LTE.

At first I thought it was the sim card, so I got it replaced, but its still doing this, however the weird thing is, when it happens I don't get any notification that I lost connection except the circle with the line through it...

Here is what I have tried and noticed.

- When this happens, if I go in to Wifi > Advanced > Smart Network Switching it says in the description that no sim card is inserted, but when it recovers it allows me to re enable this and has no problems (have it off anyways)

-Prior to this the sim was not removed, when Physically removed it, my phone made sure I knew it was removed but when it randomly disables no notifications except the circle with the line.

-I cleared the system cache but still does it.

- Replaced and rebooted many times and it still does it at random.

- The only thing different was prior to this happening we switched our ATT plan to unlimited plus and added a wifi hotspot device but none of our other phones have this issue.

-At this point, I don't know if its a hardware or software issue, I'd like to factory reset but I don't know if that would fix it or not as its really a weird issue.

Phone is running Android 7.0, API 24

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

I wonder if the tray was damaged or defective where it became bent. Can cause connectivity issues with the aim itself of its not holding it correctly at the right angle in the slot

That's a good point, I didn't think about that one.

It just kind of throws me off, because I would think if the sim card couldn't be read, it would tell me the sim card is missing on the home screen like when I take it out, but it don't, It just acts like it's a network issue and drops the connections for about 3 - 5 seconds and only by going to the Smart Network Switching does it say the sim is not connected, but that could make since if the tray was damaged.
