Galaxy tab 2 7 update bricked my tablet

I got the message to update, I did and now the tablet won't boot up. It's stuck at the blue Samsung logo. I've tried factory reset, I've tried using ODIN to reinstall original firmware. ODIN says it passed but it still won't boot up. Please, is there someone who can help? My tablet worked fine until the update and Samsung support says it's out of warranty so they can't help. Begging for help!!

I'm pretty sure that you don't need to boot the device to root.. From there install a new ROM
