Galaxy Watch 4 bricking after update

This is weird and it didn't dawn on me to ask but we trade in watches phones all the time and it is Fed-Ex which by the way just left from delivering a package LOL! She told me I will get a shipping label in my email within an hour. I did get an email about the repair with a ticket number I have to write in 3 spots on the box she said but she said put it in a box and take it to UPS. I forgot it's always been Fed-Ex so I am confused now. She said we should have it back in 5 days and I know it's the holiday weekend but as long as we get it back by next week we should be good to send it right back. That's our only choice so yes I will go ahead and order and state the trade in for the 240 and i get an extra 5% off so that's a pretty good deal. Thanks!
No problem. I am confident everything will work out. My watch 5 is coming to me via FedEx.

I think my brothers watch was sent using UPS, so maybe the repairs they use UPS. You should be good though. If you would have said they were using USPS I would have been concerned with the timing of this.

Well I called back cause I never got the shipping label and she said it would be within an hour. He said oh we use UPS and so he sent me the shipping label and I will take it now before work. I also was doing a chat cause it showed me at the top 5% off $16 but the cart didn't add it. It also had said leather band $10 but then chat said I needed to log in with my work email and I had forgotten the info and it kept signing me back into my regular account i've had for years so chat said I'll build you a cart with a better discount but I had to take the free d buckle band which was fine so now I am paying 127.99 plus tax instead of 159.99 so I pray it all works out.

I'm worried their going to say it's not fixable cause it doesn't even charge or turn on so I still don't see how they can fix it the firmware update bricked it. But she said turn around time is 5 days and the new one says by 1/13. So we will just wait and see but thanks for your help! :-)

I have a question it said something about January 13th for when he would get his new watch and I just got a text saying it's on it's way. No tracking info yet but it says Fed-Ex. I just sent his old one back in yesterday. I didn't expect this one so soon. But I'm sure we will have it back within 5 days like they said which will be after the get it I guess. And I expect him to get his next week it's the holiday weekend so we should be good right? Do I get a notification when they receive the old one. I just hope they don't say he did something to it and it's out of warranty cause their is notes saying they will fix it free they know about the firmware update bricking some watches.

So should he start fresh from the watch 5 or can he click restore will that restore his settings and watch faces? He didn't have many probably what came with the watch but he said he hated every time he flipped his wrist all he wanted to do was see the time and it would show him hearts with step and other fitness stuff and no time. But with this having a bigger battery maybe he can use an AOD. I am guessing he should just start fresh. He just mainly wants to see the time maybe steps but have no sound like when phone rings or text. So he should be ok from scratch I guess. I think mine stays on vibrate. But anyway thanks for all your help! I just hope he likes it cause he has always had the bezel which he didn't really use anyway it was more looks.

Last one I did was me doing it thru Samsung account under my devices.

If they shipped it today and gets in the system you should have new watch Tuesday, otherwise could be Wednesday. My watch 5 came in today and within thirty minutes I had my trade in email. I have till January 14th to send in my trade in. You should be fine if you get it next week. If time gets tight you can ask for an extension, don't know how that goes though.

Thanks! I need to check the status of his Watch 5 but I just now got the trade in email and it says I have till the 16th. And they have received the 4 for repair and it said something about 5 days so we should be good. I expect to get both this week sometime.
