That's definitely frustrating. I'm surprised there are connectivity issues with specific phones. It shouldn't matter as long as it's Android based.

I've got a Note 9 and it connects well.

What's odd is previously I had a Gear S3 that connected even to my husband's Iphone. Are the Gear App and watch both updated with the latest updates, etc?

They are all up to date with the latest software and app versions.
