Galaxy Watch4 pre-ordered, anyone else?

I've had confirmation from Samsung support that the 46mm watch 4 classic takes the same 22mm band as the Galaxy Watch 46mm, so have alot of others but lots of people also say its 20mm.

Yea, it's only 20mm, not 22mm

I find it odd myself that the 46mm classic only uses a 20mm band.

So will my husband's band on his Galaxy watch 3 work for the 46 classic? He originally said he liked mine better without the bezel but then he likes the shininess of his silver on his watch 3 then the aluminum on my active. So he decided to go with the classic. But we can always buy them a new band-off Amazon if the one he has don't fit he's got some kind of magnetic thing that wraps around that he likes.

The band now is as wide as the outside of the lugs though. So it is still probably the same width as before but the actual distance between lugs may be 20.

I have the 44mm silver on order......as well as a green flip3. ??????

Depends which size he has. If it's the 41mm watch 3, it will fit. If it's the 45mm, it won't.

It makes total sense if you think about it from a manufacturing perspective.

It is quite irritating for those of us who own a bunch of 22mm bands though.

I've been using a 20mm Spidel Twist-O-Flex on my Active 2 and plan on transferring it to my Classic 4.

Depends which size he has. If it's the 41mm watch 3, it will fit. If it's the 45mm, it won't.

No he has the 45mm bigger Galaxy Watch 3 so I need to get him the same band he likes but make sure it says 20mm. And for me Samsung said my silver sport from my 40mm Active 2 will fit the 40mm regular 4. My husband has some kind of black band that magnets over. I'll let him know to pick out a new one on Amazon. I see on Amazon it shows when you search that one band fits both the 4 and classic it looks like.

That is why I cancelled my silver band cause I was told the one from myA2 would fit and I only had white to choose from but I also did cause I am getting the watch 10 days sooner now too.

I just went to Samsung and the trade in values went down in price omg the A2 says $80 dollars now I got $150 and my husbands Watch 3 went from $185 to $135. So glad we did this already.

Oh dang that sucks. I also have a bunch of 22 mm bands. On the upside, 20 mm bands go for pretty cheap on Amazon.

Anyone know if Samsung's hybrid leather bands are waterproof? If not I may have to invest in a silicone band in case I take this watch swimming!

Well, I ordered a 20 mm watch band from Amazon and it said that it was made for the GW4, 46 mm. So that's evidence in favor of the smaller bands being what we need for this watch. If I'm wrong I'm only out $7 so whateves.

I pre-ordered the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 44mm in green a couple hours ago. Says backordered will ship week of September 13th. I'm trading my Galaxy Watch 3 lte in for it. Too bad trade in value went down since yesterday lol. It was $185 for Galaxy watch 3 yesterday making it like $94 before taxes. Today value was $135 for watch 3. Oh well. That my fault for waiting. Still better than nothing so I paid $164.59 after taxes. I'll save the $50 accessories credit for when the spen pro comes back in stock.

When I went to Amazon today to do a search for bands it showed only one and said for the Galaxy watch 4 and Classic. Mine still says expected delivery 8/31 and I still have a cancel button. I know it goes on sale on the 27th. I didn't order right away on the 11th though. I ordered a day or two later than cancelled cause of a 9/10 delivery date and not needing the silver band anymore and my re-order with the white band says 8/31. I hope we don't have trouble with our trade ins.

Does anyone know will we have to set everything up all over again since it's wear os? Will we not be able to back up and restore from a previous watch I have the A2 now. I guess we will have to get all new watch faces too now. I read something about themes and how it will be easier to have your watch face match your phone now.

I've never had Wear OS just fit bits and the Gear S3 which I gave my husband when I bought the galaxy watch and then it gave me problems and I bought an A2 and then Samsung finally sent me refurb Galaxy Watch and my hairdresser has it now. We then traded in my husbands Gear S3 and I got him the Galaxy Watch 3 just this past Christmas and he's getting a Classic 4. I hope we like them. AT least we got to trade in before the price dropped on trade ins today.

It's good that they're pricing this lower than the GW3 at launch. Bad that advanced health features will again only be available on Samsung phones. I was hoping that WearOS would allow all these features to be available with virtually any android phone. I'll be passing because of this.

I came here just to find this info out... thanks I'll continue to pass on them too until/if they ever allow the advanced health features on other android phones as well.

But I've honestly pretty much given up on Samsung anyway :-\ No wonder their market share is dropping.
