I pre-ordered, and Samsung moved my delivery date a number of times from early to late September and back again. I called 2 times when the date got pushed back and both times I was offered a discount to keep my order with them rather than go to my local Best Buy and pick it up. I have a number of discounts applied prior to the last two, so the final price kept me with Samsung.
The second time I called I made the point that it was a birthday gift (it was), the date for which had passed due to the delay. The rep was really sorry for that and she escalated my request for delivery, and it actually made a difference. Instead of potentially shipping at the end of the month, it was shipped within one business day. Should be here in the next day/two.
Overall, the pre-order process at Samsung has been a dumpster fire for many customers. I understand that the GW4 is an in-demand product, but they should have taken care of their loyal customers that shelled-out cash with a pre-order, before fulfilling orders with retailers, or even new customers that ordered well-after the announcement.
All that drama aside, I am really looking forward to getting it. I am coming from a Garmin that I've had for a few years now. Samsung seems to be mostly doing what they can. I can report that I got pretty good customer service considering the overall mess.

When was you original order date and eta? I ordered Aug 19th and still no phone "escalation tickets" however my eta just keeps getting pushed out from Aug 27th to now Sept 28th a whole month later. I called today to get absolutely NO WHERE but to be told they have escalation department working on it and would email me a eta. I'm so done right now. The worst experience I ever had with samsung.
