I know there is no way to get the gallery to display the most recent photo first. I always have to scroll through a ton of photos to get to the one I want.

Is there a gallery APP that can be set up to display the most recent photo at the top of the list instead of the bottom? I don't care about editing photos or locking photos or hiding photos I just want the most recently taken photo at the top of the list of thumbnails instead of the bottom.

I use QuickPic.
You can get it from the Android Market. It's also faster than the stock gallery app.
Allows you to view by date or file name, descend or ascend.

Now that I've tried it I vote for it too! Does it have the editing abilities of stock gallery? I can do without it but thought it might be hidden?

Not that I'm aware of. It does allow you to move photos to different directories.

You can shrink/crop by selecting a specific image then hitting MENU / MORE. There's a rotate command on the menu. I'm not sure what else is available, but that's as much as I've ever needed for image editing on my Tbolt.

I agree. I just wish it had gallery special effects but it is definitely worth the trade off

It's so simple and logical I can't believe the stock gallery has never had an option to show most recent photo at the top of the list instead of the bottom.
