Gallery?

Omg saw this issue in the xda forums. Sprint removed the gallery and the calendar apps. Yea that's a deal. Breaker for me. I hate the google calendar. Makes no sense
There are so many replacements. QuickPic for the gallery and I'm sure there are plenty of superior free calendar apps in the Play Store. Really low hanging fruit ripe for the picking.

Does anyone know how to get the LG gallery app to let you select multiple pictures at once? Going and deleting pics one by one is very tedious.

EDIT: figured it out, tap the trashcan icon first.

Yea took me a while too. With samsung bust holding down one picture allows you to choose more.

Grab Piktures, it's better than the stock gallery app.
I totally disagree with you. The stock gallery app is fast and feature rich. I tried piktures before finally finding lg stock gallery and there really is no comparison. You will miss out on some great built in features that work with the phone without the stock gallery app.

You can also long press a photo then scroll down however many you like in between (let's say ten) press the tenth one and it will select all photos between the first and the last.

Why would a carrier remove such a basic app like the gallery? So strange. Glad you got it working. I don't like using Google photos either. Only use it to back up my photos. Luckily, my AT&T variant came with the stock photo gallery so I didn't have to mess around with it. I'll just have to deal with never getting a single update for the life of this phone because they are slower than death. Lol. Actually, they were pretty good on my S7 Edge about releasing updates. I have a feeling they might neglect me with my V20 though.

I know! its annoying. I tried using google photos a few days ago for the first time. with the sync setting OFF. but when i tried to creat a folder it was automatically uploading them to the cloud.

the thing about having sideload gallery is all the glitches. the only way to delete a picture is via the files app. if i delete via gallery and restart the phone all the pictures i deleted come back. when i tried to move pictures from one folder to another i get the message that i have no storage space. though 24gb avail on the phone and over 50 avail on the sd card. Had they kept native app on sprint version i would actually enjoy this phone. but all i want to do is chuck it. but then thats $800 i have to keep paying on it.

I just switched from Verizon to T-Mobile. I briefly had the V20 on Verizon back at launch. If I remember correctly they got rid of LG World and some other things, maybe smart settings?

Either way, it is nice to be on T-Mobile and have the phone not be messed with. I would hate not having the LG Calendar or Gallery.

The LG gallery apk didn't work for you?

I have it, using it. but so many annoying glitches (unless something that is more stable has been released)
- cant crop unless i take a screenshot of the picture first and crop that one instead of the original
- new folders automatically created on phone not SD card
- cant move pictures from one folder to another i get the message mentioned above
- cant delete permanently through gallery - has to be via files.

Try using an app called 'piktures'. Not sure if you can save them to the cloud via that app but it worked flawlessly for me back when I needed an alternative gallery app.
