Hey everyone, I originally had an HTC one from sprint but switched to att. I noticed the sprint version of the HTC one had gapless playback for my iTunes music, but the att model for some reason had a 1 second delay between tracks. Is there an option to enable this on the stock media player? If not could someone recommend a player that does gapless playback by default?

Actually the sprint version does not have gapless playback which is extremely dissappointing because my galaxy nexus had it and it was great for music. Is there an app that has it? I don't want to give up the beats audio codec because it sounds really good.

I bet you get hellla bored during the sec you have to wait for the next track to start playing. Sign up for some yoga classes :P

Yeah it does kind of bite. I have lots of compilation albums that have songs that extend into multiple tracks.

Pretty sure the sprint version had it, using Google play it worked like a charm actually.

This is a great feature on my Nexus 4. Miss this on the HTC One when listening to "Dark Side of the Moon".

Yep. I same issue, same album...along with many others. Even MPR hasn't been able to resolve this yet.

Shush and hold the ladder. Seriously, I'm stalking the HTC One...in the hopes of eventually being able to afford one. Ltm ltm

why you.....I'm very happy with the phone. There was a slight learning curve coming from the the Nexus 4, but being on GSM it's easy enough to swap the micro sim. we'd better move this discussion to LOOT since it is off topic. ltm

Power Amp, Winamp, Jet Audio, & Neutron (off the top of my head) will do gapless.

I'd love to see gapless playback. People who don't listen to albums that incorporate it don't understand. Chick Corea's "Mad Hatter" album has several tracks that need to be continuous.

EDIT: Just found PlayerPro, which appears to handle gapless playback very well.

if you happen to enjoy a band called between the buried and me, like I do, this would frustrate you to no end because all of their albums are big compositions with transitions between almost every song. so if there is not gapless playback, it would be like taking a second of pause in the middle of your favorite song.

I updated my sprint htc one to 4.3 yesterday and that was the first thing i noticed besides the improved quick settings. before this update gapless playback worked as well as you would expect it to given the fact that it is very easy to execute.

Please take a look at this.

(You can search "com.acidzazz.gaplessplayer" in Google Play.)

It's born for gapless playback.

Still looking for true gapless playback on my Galaxy S3 (verizon). Here are the apps I've tried:

Music Player - Not gapless. Big pause in between tracks.
Google Play Music - Same as above.
Winamp - It tries to be gapless but winds up cutting off the ends of the previous track.
Shuttle - same as above
Gapless Player - same as above. You can adjust how much it cuts off, but it doesn't seem to work too well.
Rocket Music Player - transitions are a little messy
n7player Music Player - small gap
PlayerPro Music Player - skips a bit in between tracks
JetAudio Basic - does a weird fade in / fade out thing between tracks
Poweramp - this one works great, unfortunately it's not free.
neutron - Same as above

Hi, there! I was looking for that dream-gapless-player app, which REALLY works, till finally I found it!! Check out MyTunes . The UI is not so beauty, but functional. The Pro version really worth to buy. The only thing I don't like is the constant start up of MyTunes in background, consuming RAM, but If you have 1G at least, it doesn't matter a lot.
