You'll need the another garmin holder that attaches to that ball end. Once you have that, then you can affix the RAM mount to it with fasteners, epoxy, or a combination of both.

That was my fear that the reason I didn't find anything is that nothing exists. You'd think somebody would have such a connector. Oh well. Thanks for the info.

I want to buy this: RAM Cradle Holder - Universal Spring Loaded Cell Phone Smartphone as I have the HTC extended battery so I can't use the VZW mount and it looks more solid that anything Arkon makes.

I would like to attach the TBolt to this: Amazon.com: Garmin Portable Friction Mount: Electronics since I already own it and sometimes still use my Garmin GPS.

But I have no idea what I need to marry the two up. Been Googling for an hour and still come up dry.

Any ideas?

Well, start here-

ProClip Other Holders - Angled Extension Plate for use with Garmin Friction Mount?-?ProClip Car Mounts for Mobile Phones, GPS, and Handheld Devices

this will use the base of the friction mount, just not the ball adapter.

that gets you the industry standard AMPS pattern to work with, and you should be able to get the pieces with the RAM mount you want that will screw right up to the AMPS pattern holder.

if you aren't sure what you need, all you'll have to do is contact RAM and tell them that you want that holder and whatever needed to attach to an AMPS compliant holder

That's awesome. Exactly what I was looking for as all I really cared about was having one bean bag thing, rather than having to use the same arm. Didn't think to look for a replacement arm that fits the Garmin friction thing.

THANK YOU!
