Gave up on clear cases

Just ordered the Caseology Parallax for my S8. Hoping it has decent grip. As much as I liked my Ringke Fusion, it was just too slick.

Anyone have the Parallax?

Spigen clears in my opinion are as good as it gets. I have had horrible luck with clears. I had a Ringke clear and it wasn't too bad, just found Spigen clears better. Clear in general though I've never had any luck with, really.

I have had an i-blason clear on my S6 for 2 years. Love it!

Have a Spigen hybrid clear for my S8, also the same with black bumper. Love them as well, but currently using a Supcase and Defender as my mains.

I have a second Supcase coming my way as my first one a Unicorn Beetle Clear actually deteriorated along the camera and finger print sensor

I would be pretty upset about a case deteriorating that way in such a short time. .y Caseology clear w/black bumper still looks great 5 weeks later. It does have a couple knick from accidental drops but has done a superior job protecting the phone.

Now if my daughter would have kept a case on her 6s plus grrr. The screen on her 6splus now has two big spiderweb cracks so I'll be getting that repaired

I have the Parallax! And it is my favorite case, after I went case crazy and bought 7 of them (Spigen, Ringke). The grip is decent, but the slim look, texture, and screen protector "friendliness" is what really makes it stand out. You made a great choice. Hope you like it.

My Unicorn Beetle Supcase Pro has not had any issues at all. Absolutely love it. It's not clear, but it's still an awesome case I highly recommend.

I always have yellowing issues with clear cases. Decided to give Speck a try. so far so good. but it has only been a couple weeks.

Wife has a iPhone 7 plus speck clear case and it said no yellowing. Well they were right. It turned brown instead. Along all of the edges. Give it time and it will look bad.

Clear cases don't work well with this design - same for the S6 & S7. The edge design precludes having a substantial edge to the case so you're stuck with either a tpu case that doesn't show scratches and has decent grip but doesn't have enough material to not pull away from the sides OR going with a hard shell that scratches, is slippery and generally feels cheap. I've bought at least 10 cases so far and the Samsung semi-clear is by far the best for a minimal case that shows the phone off.
