GB physical key backlight

After I downloaded GB I noticed that the physical key backlight is really bright, that isn't a problem in and of itself, however. My big problem is the lack of a backlight timeout. When I put my phone on the dock at night the key backlight stays on and doesn't make it any easier for me to sleep. If there are any fixes for this, aside from downgrading to Froyo, I would greatly appreciate it.

Reboot. The bottom keys should go off with screen. They are incredibly bright after update. I don't think I need a flashlight app!

But them staying on is bad and drains battery. If reboot doesn't fix let me know.

They don't stay on, as soon as you are outside, they go off. I don't think there is a dimmer switch lol. They seem brighter because they stay lit inside I think. I think they look brighter though!

The physical key backlight (pkb) goes out when the screen goes black but at night, when it is in the cradle, the screen dims but does not go off and, because of that, the pkb stays on at night while I'm trying to sleep. Ohh Johnly, thanks for letting me know that but my main question is, is there anyway that we can control how long the pkb is on while the screen is on? Like a pkb timeout program?

Ah gotcha. I don't dock and turn phone off at night so I haven't had that problem.

How do you dock? I seem to have lost the clock icon. Do you need the screen on? Just exit the dock screen so the screen can turn off.

If you do need the screen on I would say its a bug or something they overlooked when making them brighter. You may have to go back to something else. Liberty 2.0 just dropped.

Ok really this is my thing, I am a veteran and because of my time overseas I have a difficult time sleeping and need "white noise" to help me sleep. I use Ambient Fireplace to provide the white noise and I use it on the dock. So it would be great to timeout the keys like I used to be able to do.

mine are super bright as well.
they cranked up on the brightness in GB. i'd like to find a way to turn them back down.

So I downloaded the app and started it while plugged in with normal charger. I have a fireplace with flames and a crackling sound. My bottomlights are NOT on. And the screen remains on.

So there must be something with the dock. I would use a wallcharger by the bed and see if that works.

Edit: so now my bottom light aren't turning on at all. I am rebooting.

After reboot lights came back. I entered app AFTER bottom lights went off and they stayed off. I backed out of app and turned device off. Turned device back on and entered app while bottom lights are on. Bottom lights will NOT go off! Back out of app. Turn off real quick then back on and lights wont go off!

So now my bottom lights are jacked. Reboot phone and lights are back to normal. Before entering app at night, reboot phone and wait for the bottom lights to go off, which should be sooner than screen dims. Enter app and hope that the lights stay off.

I think its an app that needs to be updated or a GB bug. If the work around doesn't work let me know. I have been able to get it to work with bottom lights off by rebooting phone. Once it restarts wait for bottom lights to time out and enter app.
