Gde

When comparing to dxTop these are my findings.

Pros:
+Transitions are smooth
+You can chose up to 7 screens
+4 choices as towards how screens render when sliding (Normal, Cube, Stretch or fade)
+You can choose quick scroll. To get from screen 1 to 7 with a fast swipe.
+There are 2 icons in the bottom that are customisable
+Comes with a Widget that lets you load apps to it and it will scroll to them without leaving that screen. This would be
usefull for loading Games and such and being able to scroll trough them instead of a folder.

Cons:
-No screen capture
-No screen notification dots
-No app kill
-No pre loaded screen lock

(Only thing that is really missed is the Screen Capture)

Thanks, I'll give it a go. The screen dots and screen lock wouldn't be missed...the screen capture on dxtop is nice though.

how about the widget redraw time, is it faster than dx top?

that's really the only gripe i have with it. i with it could render the widgets faster upon returning to the home screen sometimes.

I feel that it is faster. You can try it out for 24 hours. If its not for you return and get a refund.

That is the beauty of having both. Switching between them whenever you want.:D

just jumped on to the GDE boat and boy and i like it so far. i tryed dxtop but it just seemed too messy and kind of laggy for me.

i like dx top more after trying out gde, it's like the reverse of slowhatch.

i find gde to be a messy confusing, well...mess.

Combine the two and it's on....

I've been running gde almost 24hrs now with the cube transition and a free hero type theme (just the same style phone/menu/add at the bottom). One forced quit, no lag or redrawing problems that I noticed. I prefer dxtop I think, but it has to become more stable. The latest update just wacked my phone out for some reason. Searching other forums quite a few other people noticed the same thing, so hopefully it will get fixed soon. IMO, the only reason to be rocking gde over dxtop at the moment is the cube transition...that is really what wowed people when I showed them yesterday. Both programs are very viable options.

I'm also using cube transition. If you could somehow add the icon hide an screenshot to GDE I would be good.

Which is the best transition for stability? I used cube for a bit and noticed some issues. Sometimes it would be a bit laggy. Also sometimes I would swipe and it wouldn't cube it would just go black then switch to the next screen. It also force closed more than DxTop did.

Which transition is the smoothest/most reliable? Normal? Fade? Stretch? Interested in opinions.
