wrong. sound and shot is for attaching sound to a picture. it's not for turning on/off the shutter sound. You can't turn off the shutter sound.

You can do this only by rooting your device and removing some sound files or by a hardware change that disables the speaker completely. Both ways are described elsewhere (see xda forum).

I do that all the time. I either skim or simply don't get on the same wavelength as the writer.
