Gear Fit2 Floors climbed count.

So just got a gear fit2 a couple days ago and i really like it. the only problem is the floors count is way off. I literally only took about 1000 steps around my house so far today and it already says i climbed 11 floors..Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? Thanks.
