Gear Manager Update - now no remote connection

My remote connection just suddenly connected about 20 minutes after I ran out of things to try.

Mine all the sudden works fine now. Not sure what the hang up was, but it seems to connect remotely with no issues. I did have that issue when I first updated the Gear App, but after a reboot of the watch and phone things work fine.
 
I would also recommend doing a clear cache partition in recovery

Install Samsung Gear Manager From the Web

If GALAXY Apps is not available, you can download Samsung Gear Manager from a browser on your mobile device:

From the Home screen of your mobile device, touch Apps Apps Icon .
Touch Internet Gear Manager Icon or Chrome™ Gear Manager Icon . For this example, we will use the Internet application.
Navigate to apps.samsung.com/gear and touch Download.

I am a Verizon Note 4/Gear S this just worked
 
My remote connection is working fine but my battery life went from a full day down to about 8 hours. Not happy about that one bit.
 
I seem to have fixed mine with an uninstall of the Gear mgr and reset of the watch. Simply put I started over.
 
I purchased a Gear S last week as well as a new phone and everything seemed to be working fine until... it seems that now the remote connection is not working when i am not connected via WIFI, that is, it is not connecting via mobile networks. I know the mobile and data works as i can make calls and surf the net. I have tried with with mobile always on as well as auto on/off.
 
I noticed that my remote connection was not turned on in my settings, it seems it's not defaulted to on so when you update it's left off. go into your settings and check off that box.
